The Datalogic DSM04XX is a compact fixed-mount scan module intended to be built into equipment rather than held by an operator. It reads 1D and 2D bar codes from a fixed position and is sized to fit inside kiosks, terminals, and automated machinery. The module occupies roughly 49 cm3 (3 in3) and is rated IP54 against dust and water, in a high-impact resin housing resistant to cleaning solvents and disinfectants. It uses a 4-dot aimer with Green Spot read confirmation, supports triggered, autosense, and soft-trigger scan modes, and is offered with RS-232 and USB interface options.
