The Datalogic DSM04XX is a compact fixed-mount scan module for embedding barcode reading into kiosks, self-service terminals, and automated equipment. It reads both 1D and 2D codes from a fixed position, so the host machine presents the code to the reader rather than an operator aiming a handheld unit. Key Specifications
The module occupies roughly 49 cm3 (3 in3) and carries an IP54 rating against dust and water ingress, in a high-impact resin housing resistant to common cleaning solvents and disinfectants. It uses a 4-dot aimer with Datalogic's Green Spot good-read confirmation, offers RS-232 and USB interface options, and supports triggered, autosense, and soft-trigger scan modes.
