Enterprise IT Hardware in Virginia
Tech Seller USA supplies enterprise IT hardware to businesses, universities, hospital systems and public sector organisations across Virginia β enterprise hard drives and SSDs, barcode scanners, mobile computers, thermal label printers and POS receipt printers, shipped from our facility in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The industries we supply in Virginia
Virginia carries the largest concentration of data centre capacity anywhere in the world, and that single fact shapes most of the enterprise hardware demand in the state.
Northern Virginia β Ashburn, Sterling, Chantilly, Manassas, Reston, Herndon and the surrounding Loudoun and Prince William county corridor β is the densest data centre region on earth. The scale means continuous drive replacement across every generation of platform in service, and operators need exact part numbers with the correct carrier generation rather than approximate matches. Tech Seller USA supplies enterprise SAS and SATA drives, 7,200 RPM nearline capacity drives and enterprise SSDs from Seagate, Western Digital and Toshiba, plus vendor-coded drives for HPE, IBM, Lenovo and NetApp platforms.
The same corridor carries an enormous government contractor and systems integrator presence across Arlington, Alexandria, Fairfax, Tysons and Reston, where procurement runs on purchase orders, formal quotations and vendor registration as a matter of course.
Hampton Roads β Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News β combines one of the east coastβs major port complexes with substantial shipbuilding and defence logistics. That hardware is auto-identification: rugged mobile computers, handheld barcode scanners and industrial thermal label printers from Zebra, Honeywell and Datalogic, running in conditions where salt air and humidity shorten equipment life.
Richmond adds state government, financial services and a growing logistics corridor along I-95, and higher education at Virginia Tech, UVA, VCU, George Mason and William & Mary adds research computing storage and campus procurement.

Data centre drive supply in Northern Virginia
Worth addressing directly, because it is the largest single hardware market in the state.
At data centre scale, the failure mode that costs most is not a slow delivery. It is receiving a drive that matches on capacity and interface and is refused by the controller β wrong carrier generation, wrong sector format, missing vendor firmware coding. Across a multi-drive order that turns into a rebuild window missed and a return shipment.
We quote against exact part numbers, confirm carrier generation and sector format against your platform before dispatch, and state condition and drive hours on every line. For operators running mixed estates across several server generations, tell us the platforms and we can hold stock against them rather than sourcing reactively each time an array degrades.
Shipping to Virginia
Virginia is on the eastern seaboard corridor from our West Palm Beach facility, and standard ground service reaches Richmond, Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia quickly. The southwestern mountain counties take slightly longer. Expedited service is available to every address in the Commonwealth.
One practical note for Northern Virginia: data centre and secure facility deliveries frequently require advance notice, an escort or a scheduled delivery window. Tell us about site access requirements when you order and we will account for them.
Purchase orders and Virginia public sector procurement
Virginia organisations run heavily on purchase orders. Virginia Tech, UVA, VCU, George Mason, William & Mary and the community college system, county and city school divisions, municipal and county IT departments, state agencies and hospital systems all require a supplier who can accept a PO, supply a formal quotation and complete vendor registration.
Tech Seller USA accepts purchase orders from organisations and offers Net-30 terms on approval. We supply quotations in the format your procurement system requires, quote line by line against a bill of materials, complete vendor forms and W-9s, and hold pricing for a stated validity period so an approval process has time to run.

Shipping and delivery to Virginia
Do you ship to Virginia?
Yes, to every address in the Commonwealth β Northern Virginia, Richmond, Hampton Roads, the Shenandoah Valley and the southwest.
How long does delivery to Virginia take?
Virginia is on the eastern seaboard corridor from West Palm Beach. Richmond, Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia are reached quickly; the southwestern mountain counties take slightly longer.
Do you have a warehouse in Virginia?
No. We ship from West Palm Beach, Florida, and we would rather state that plainly than imply a distribution network we do not have.
Do you deliver to Ashburn and the Loudoun data centre corridor?
Yes, including Ashburn, Sterling, Chantilly, Manassas, Reston and Herndon.
Can you handle data centre site access requirements?
Yes. Data centre and secure facility deliveries frequently require advance notice, an escort or a scheduled window. Tell us the requirements when you order and we will account for them.
Do you ship to Hampton Roads?
Yes β Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton and Suffolk.
Do you deliver to Richmond and the I-95 corridor?
Yes, including Richmond, Petersburg, Fredericksburg, Ashland and the surrounding logistics operations.
Do you ship to southwest Virginia and the mountain counties?
Yes, including Roanoke, Blacksburg, Bristol, Abingdon and addresses carriers classify as extended delivery areas.
Is shipping to Virginia free?
Free shipping applies to qualifying orders. Heavier and expedited shipments are quoted separately.
Do you deliver to Virginia residential addresses?
Yes, though most orders go to commercial and institutional addresses. Residential delivery can carry a carrier surcharge, which we include in the quote.
Data centre drive supply
Do you supply Northern Virginia data centre operators?
Yes. Enterprise SAS, SATA and Fibre Channel drives, nearline capacity drives and enterprise SSDs, including vendor-coded drives for HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, Lenovo ThinkSystem and NetApp platforms.
Can you quote at volume for a data centre refresh?
Yes. Send the quantities and the platforms and we will quote line by line with condition, drive hours and availability stated on each.
Can you hold stock against our platforms?
Tell us the platforms and generations you run and your refresh timing. For mixed estates across several server generations this is far better than sourcing reactively each time an array degrades.
What is a drive carrier and why does the generation matter?
The bracket that holds a drive in a hot-swap bay. Carriers are chassis and generation specific and do not cross, and they are the most common omission in a drive order.
What is sector format and why does it matter?
512n, 512e and 4Kn describe how a drive presents its sectors. Mixing formats in one array is refused or unpredictable, and it frequently surfaces during a rebuild rather than at installation β the worst possible moment.
What is a vendor-coded drive?
A drive carrying firmware specific to a server or storage vendor. Some controllers expect it and flag drives that do not have it. Tell us your platform and we supply the right one.
Which SSDs suit write-heavy workloads?
Enterprise SSDs with power loss protection and an endurance rating matched to the workload. Consumer flash under sustained writes wears out far faster than expected.
What do DWPD and TBW mean on an SSD?
Endurance ratings β how much can be written to the drive over its warranted life. Match the rating to the workload rather than assuming any enterprise SSD suits any role.
Can I mix drive capacities in one array?
It will work, but the array uses the smallest memberβs capacity on every drive, so the extra capacity is wasted.
Should I avoid SMR drives in an array?
Yes, always. SMR write performance collapses part-way through sustained writes, and a rebuild onto an SMR drive can fail outright.
Can you tell me drive hours before I buy?
Yes. The drive reports it exactly and we check before listing. At volume we can state the range across the batch.
Port, logistics and scanning
Do you supply Zebra and Honeywell scanners in Virginia?
Yes, along with Datalogic. Scanners ship with the correct interface cable for your host system, which is frequently sold separately elsewhere.
Do you supply rugged mobile computers for Hampton Roads operations?
Yes. Zebra, Honeywell and Datalogic rugged mobile computers suited to terminal, shipyard and warehouse environments.
Does salt air affect equipment in Hampton Roads?
Yes. Coastal humidity and salt air shorten equipment life, particularly in loading bays and unconditioned back-of-house space. Printheads wear faster and need cleaning at every media change.
How many spare scanners should a facility hold?
At minimum one per shift for a busy operation. Scanners are dropped, and a worker without a scanner stops working.
Do I need the interface cable with a barcode scanner?
Yes, and it is specific to the interface. We supply the correct cable with the scanner rather than selling it separately.
Will you help configure a scanner for my system?
Tell us your point-of-sale or host system and we supply the scanner with the configuration barcodes you will need.
Will a 1D laser scanner read QR and Data Matrix codes?
No. A 1D laser cannot read 2D codes at all. A 2D imager reads both.
Do you supply scanners for cold storage facilities?
Tell us the operating temperature range and we will specify units rated for it. Standard equipment fails quickly in freezer environments.
Label printing and healthcare
Do you supply label printers for Virginia healthcare?
Yes. Zebra and SATO thermal label printers for patient identification, wristband and specimen labelling, plus genuine replacement printheads.
How do I know which printhead my printer needs?
Read the part number off the existing printhead or the printer label. Printheads differ by resolution for the same printer model and do not cross between models.
There is a white line through every label. What is wrong?
A dead heating element in the printhead. It appears in the same position on every label, does not heal, and more elements will follow.
Why is my label printer printing blank labels?
Usually a media and mode mismatch β direct thermal stock in thermal transfer mode or the reverse β or ribbon loaded with the coated side facing the wrong way.
Why is my printer skipping labels?
Calibration. The printer detects label boundaries with a sensor, and changing media size, liner or gap requires recalibrating.
Why is my label print faded?
Check a dirty printhead first, then darkness setting, then whether the ribbon type suits the media, then printhead wear. Do not simply raise the darkness.
Which printer brands do you carry?
Zebra, SATO, Bixolon and Epson label printers, plus Epson, Star Micronics and Bixolon POS receipt printers.
Procurement and payment for Virginia organisations
Can Virginia universities and agencies order on a purchase order?
Yes. We accept purchase orders from organisations, offer Net-30 on approval, and complete vendor registration forms and W-9s as required.
Do you supply Virginia state agencies?
Yes, with the purchase order, formal quotation and vendor registration process their procurement requires.
Do you supply Virginia school divisions?
Yes. Purchase orders, formal quotations and vendor registration are all standard for us.
Do you work with government contractors and integrators?
Yes. Send the bill of materials and the end requirement and we will quote line by line with condition and availability stated.
Do you offer Net-30 terms in Virginia?
Yes, on approval. Contact us with your organisation details to begin the process.
Can you complete a Virginia vendor registration form?
Yes. Send whatever documentation your organisation requires before an order can be raised and we will complete it.
How long is a quote valid?
We state a validity period on every quote. Ask for longer if your approval process needs it and we will tell you what we can hold.
Is Virginia sales tax applied?
Sales tax is applied where we are required to collect it. If your organisation is tax exempt, send your exemption certificate before ordering.
How quickly do you respond to a Virginia quote request?
Our target is one business hour, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Eastern β the same time zone as you.
Condition, returns and support
What condition is your hardware in?
We state the condition on every line. Ask for the specific condition, the testing performed and the drive hours where applicable.
Is your hardware tested?
Testing is performed where applicable and we will tell you what was done. A power-on check and a full surface test are different things and we do not describe one as the other.
What is your return policy?
30 days. Raise a problem promptly β the sooner it is raised, the more options there are.
What if something arrives damaged?
Photograph the packaging before opening, note the damage on the delivery paperwork before signing, and tell us the same day. Carrier claim windows are short.
Should I test hardware when it arrives?
Yes, and before it goes into production. Failures cluster early in life and transit damage frequently does not show until equipment runs under load.
Can you source something not listed on the site?
Frequently yes. Send the part number and we will tell you honestly whether we can get it, at what price and in what timeframe.
Will you tell me if I am buying the wrong thing?
Yes. Several of our guides recommend against a purchase where the workload does not justify it, and we apply the same approach to quotes.
Do you buy decommissioned hardware from Virginia organisations?
Contact us with a list of what is coming out and we will tell you what it is worth and what is worth keeping as spares.
